Back Home After a Phenomenal Trip to Seattle!

Ed and I pose at Gold's Seattle

We are now back in Richmond after having a fantastic time in the Pacific Northwest! We had a great time at my contest, hanging out with our friends, going to our old favorite restaurants, AND summer in the northwest is just about the prettiest season you will find anywhere! My contest was fantastic! I placed 3rd out of seven in the men’s medium height class, and there were several extremely well-developed athletes so I’m very happy about it! The winner of my class (and the overall winner of the contest) was already a Pro in another organization and was HUGE! It was an honor to go toe to toe with this caliber of athletes and place in the top 3! The Moore Theater in downtown Seattle was packed for the event and the crowd was great! You’d have thought we were in a rock concert! It was awesome to see so much support and excitement at a bodybuilding show!

Many of our friends from Veganbodybuilding.com came out to support Ed Bauer and I and watch the show, and we hung out together afterwards and had a great time.

I have never met a nicer or more supportive group of people; thanks guys!  Robert Cheeke of Vegan Bodybuilding also hired the photographer Josh Avery to cover the weekend and do a studio photo shoot on Monday! We had another amazing shoot with photographer Rebecca Bolte on Sunday at Gold’s Gym Seattle! I will be doing a full length recap for veganbodybuilding as soon as all the pictures and videos are in. Check out some of the gym shots!

  1. I believe avoiding ready-made foods would be the first step to help lose weight.
They can taste good, but ready-made foods have very little nutritional value, making you consume more just to have enough vitality to get with the day.
If you are constantly feeding on these foods, transferring to whole grain products
and other complex carbohydrates will let you have more vitality while feeding on less.
    Interesting blog post.
