12 Week Champions 2011 – Plant-Based Nutrition Wins Again!

It’s now May and this year’s 12 Week Challenge weigh-ins are officially in! If you remember from this time last year, out of the hundreds of competitors and ten local winners here in Richmond Virginia, 3 were my clients! You can read about it in the original post here.

This year we had an even better turn out! With the help and hard work of my dedicated clients,  4 out of the 9 were local winners!! Any guesses what my secret is? PLANT BASED NUTRITION! The common denominator of all my success stories is that they follow my dietary advice (beans & greens) and work really hard in the gym. It’s that simple!

Thank you and congratulations to Michael Stewart, Elyse Masters, Tom Fenton, and Todd Berry who each won their age/gender class, and a special thanks to another of my competitors Jenna Stewart who worked hard and made amazing progress in 12 short weeks! You all did a phenomenal job and deserve all the health and fitness gains you’ve made in the past three months. Todd Berry has also been named the top male winner locally and will go on to compete in the national contest for a chance to win over $20,000 and a trip to Las Vegas!! Check out the amazing progress Todd made between January and March by adopting a plant-based diet and following an intense weight training program!

Todd's transformation from January to March, 2011!

Check out that plant-based transformation in only 3 months!

If you’re still not convinced of the power of a plant-based diet come see Planeat with us here in Richmond Thursday May 26th and see what other impacts the food you eat makes! Who’s up for some fruits and vegetables?!

  1. Hi Todd, I’m very jealous, I’m 51 years old and about 15 kg overweight. I’d like the same cure. With Frendly Regards Bent Nissen , Denmark

    1. Thanks! He was taking in about 3500cal per day, and usually about 25% protein, 60% carb, 15% fat
